Fingers
By Chinmaya Chawhan
Your fingers dance on the strings; Intricately weaving music, in rings; Echoes in this room, the melody you play And in the corner, writing about you, I lay. Angel's harp Whispers in my ear, You embroider those notes Into my soul, smooth and sheer. My chords reply to your rhythm, I sing of love in a hymn As your spider fingers build the web of harmony; Performing the act of stealing my heart, a robbery. I giggle at the mistakes you make And dance when you play my favourite tune. My poems turn into songs And these moments into a memories' dune.
