Finding The Missing Piece

I was a star twinkly bright

Always shone with all my might

To light up this place barren and dry

In this black canvas called the sky

I had friends and they had too

Each of us had a task to do

To look for the ones who made us whole

Finding them in the desert, or over the pole

I looked around for so many years

I was struck with numerous fears

Scared i was, almost ready to flee

I Had friends yet felt lonely.

Days passed and the feeling grew

Failed all plans that I had brew

I then left, I had no choice

To get the one who help reduce this noise

Searching again far and wide

Ready to spend it all on this ride

Time flew and I was tripping

Like Sand it kept on slipping

All my friends found their one

Their smiles matching the sun

They found their missing piece

Finished their jigsaw with ease

About to give up, I sat on a bench

That was overlooking some random trench

Alone and sighing, I kept on sitting

Maybe this was an end so fitting

The sun was setting and so were my hopes

I was now pushed to the ropes

About to jump I heard someone call

I turned to see who broke my fall

There sat a stranger who looked slightly pale

He asked me for my tale

I told him how I'm broken and not whole

How i felt like husk without a soul

He then began with his own story

Of his past and rise to glory

Then of the fall as he missed the opportunity to strike

I then had the feeling that despite age we were so alike

He asked me to think hard till next noon

To remember if I had met the lover of the moon

I asked why and what he said struck down all fears

The realization brought in tears

He said these are the people who saw through the lies

They know how with the right person, time flies

He said these are the people who are never dull

They'll know how to love you when you're not full

When you're not full....
