Finals

Another day with a gasp,
shortened to a thin flick.
Just another moment with a hasp:
Nothing short of slick.
Judge thy morning star.
Going not so far north
Vying the myths from afar
calling you a sloth.
Been in motion
marring all the flash.
Cleaving thou but no caution
jewel or a dash?
Can’t get the moon,
can’t hang on to the bliss.
Can’t move on soon;
can’t set up amiss.
Beats born in a rumble,
Fading into a dull trail;
Poor people, all drowning in the tumble,
of a fate so frail;
As a hurdle slows
Mere a man could afresh
The sight it glows and so it flows
Meandering through all the mesh!
