Fill - Over

The sunshine seems too far

for a dropping sunflower

that stands surrendered

stuck in the sodden sod.

Doused to drag a day more

but dusk dares to die tonight

a simper to keep up its face

for a hand over of a smile to a lover.

The mustard burns in its own fire

still glowing golden for a pluck

with brushing hair for a tickle

that wakes up with a wrap.

A fallen petal off the symmetry

and the void unmasks, a pity

overlap of shadowed sides

born to sit in circles.

A bunch partially displacing

the vacuum of the vase

left at footsteps one morning

with broken beliefs of a bond.

Reads a note on its neck

"For a rebirth, a ritual offering

of a fermented forfeiture

A gone soul for A gifted heart".
