If poetry could do justice

and words could end wars.

If food could lower starvation,

and money could end corruption.

If buying things could bring happiness

and love was ever enough.

The world would have been worse,

God would have ended it long ago.

Brought life to a new planet

and made people come up with stories

which made them believe in something

and call it religion.
