Craving for a place

Far far away

From the monotony of today

If there is indeed such a place


Where the horizons meet

And the zenith holds sway

Where the magnanimity of the grand design

Is enough to take your breath away





The heart yearns for a recluse

A home, an epiphany, a muse

A true Nirvana, a beatitude for my itching shoes

A blissful peace of mind that’s not externally induced


Where the soul feels abode

Walking on the ‘less travelled by road’

And ‘knowing how way leads on to way’

I might just find a cure to my fernweh.
