Fence
By Chinmaya Chawhan
Life me up, I'm in a pond of your mishaps; Swimming with the fishes you fed your dirt to. My wounds are turning ice cold, I'm caught in your traps; Fans of your cigar smoke swirling above my head are ominous black and blue. Land me on a platform; The sun this morn is lonely; It has a foggy form Like my eyes that deny scanning anyone that ain't you, hence close disapprovingly.
I'm looking forward to the day I see you next, To when my heart leaps into your chest, When the moon lies in the clouds' nest, In the season of sweaters and food fests. I am wearing your memories, Dwelling in your residence; For taking up all this space in my mind, give me your love as fees; You'll bleed, yet I pray you manage to break in through my thorny fence.
