Female Off Spring

A female off spring leaves her inland

With some kodachromes in the frame hanging on the wall.

With some relics and tokens kept inside the mantelpiece.

Statuesque cityscapes captured inside the canvas .

That she carved to tickle pink herself and spread zeal around.

A female off spring leaves her inland.

With her wished-for tees and tops in the toggery.

Some old handspun greeting cards for every good day.

Clandestine old wrappers of hokums and confectioneries.

A female off spring leaves her inland.

The room she once decorated with her aura, exceptional taste and enameling.

Leaving behind her old knick-knacks, games, trinkets guarded from her pupilage days.

Leaving behind her exigencies, cravings and stubbornness for vittles, glad rags and other banausic things.

A female off spring leaves her inland.

With her all-embracing engravings seized in a memory book.

The fingers that once played scullery and doctor games.

The fingers that once wore dainty babyish rings.

Is now scintillating with a gold one.

A female off spring leaves her inland.

Who adorned her mother’s saree in a play.

Is now on the brink of complete transmogrification .

From a burgeoning, tenderfoot girl to a full , blown and mellowed one.

A female off spring leaves her inland.

That once lived life breezy, cheery and jaunty.

The important step she would take .

The biggest renunciation she would take leaving her heirs and assigns where she spent several years.

She will enter the new home as a culpable girl.

A female off spring leaves her inland.

With a part of her soul still living there.

She would till blue in the face pray the king of kings.

To take the woes and worries of all here in her per diem in her imprecation.
