How do I walk away from this hurricane?  

I loved you before even I saw you  

and today, you just left?  

My heart is soaked and my cheeks are heavy.  

Why did you leave?   

I smiled when you fought, taking your tantrums  

and today, you just left?  

My smile is anchored and my joy is debris.  

Why did you leave?   

I fought and won your playdate battles with you 

and today, you just left?  

My soul is hurt and pain has left my body.   

Why did you leave?  

I've seen your face change from cute to handsome  

and today, you just left?  

My eyes can't see your sight and memories can't undo to unsee  

Why did you leave?  

Did I fail you as a father, as a friend?  

Or were you wrongly pious to unify by means to end?
