Fear Is A Turtle

Fear is a turtle
Walking over my conscious
Swimming inside my subconscious,
Gradually pacing, penetrating the deep insides,
Feeding, on the fishes and worms
Of my thoughts and actions;
Encroaching my visible scope
De-fueling, retarding me with inculcations;
It has a shell, enlarged!
With its crust made so hard,
And its epicardium unfathomable aghast;
It lives on and on
Longer than my own will, here and thereon;
With negligible senescence
It grows, on and on…
Seldom it dismantles and reveals,
And often it disguises of adorable charm
It ruptures and breaks my will,
Praises my dreads
And often form terrains
And gets attention as per its needs
It’s not fragile, it’s deft in deeds
It’s not slow, it’s smarter indeed
It lays its eggs in my conscious
And leaves them returning to its bloom;
Sowing in them
Its seeds
Of unwavering precedence,
Left to grow
Daunting me, pushing apart
Rendering on their own
They’ll feed on me
And then through the stream
They’ll travel in me
From one pole to another
And the whole of me shall be marked
With their excreta and with their trails;
And the wetness in the beach’s porous sand
Would translate into trickles of sweat in my clumsy hand,
And for all of its diseases and predators,
It’ll have me scuffled in
And will set itself free
And it’ll live long and long
And forever maybe
Till it has its fishes and worms
And it has a life long
Longer than my own
And so it lives on and on
Slow and laid back it maybe
But it’s perpetual
And it thus lives on and on
