Familiar Fragrance

Clock hasn’t even struck three

And I’m already exhausted

Pulling myself across the street

To stare at the board and

Scribbling in my book

Waiting for the lift

with baggy eyes from last night

A sudden rush

Of scent so intense , so familiar

Charging my sleeping brain

Getting spellbound to the heavenly fragrance

Diffusing everywhere in my heart

Following its trail, just

To end up with a close door

Of ongoing class

Wondering who triggered my olfactory sense

But getting back to my boring routine .

When the clock strikes four

Forgetting to meet this familiar stranger

Turning pages of the thick book

Click of the door

Flashback of the scent

Lingering in my heart

Eyes locked of you and me

But why would fate play such a game

For it to be you out of all the people

Telling its a false emotion

Though my heart jumping crazily

Like jelly

Again

False emotion , nothing else .

Still, letting the fragrance trail the way

Daydreaming to the shore

Gazing at the midnight sky,

In search of my Orion

But out of my grasp

Before I knew , snapping back to reality

Standing in front of me

Glaring at me with confusion

Blushing me out with your familiar fragrance .
