Splish.

Splash.

Running through puddles.

Running through puddles.

The squelch of wet shoes

As she runs.

A scream, muffled halfway through.

The sound of a struggle

The thump of a body

Falling to the ground.

Black hair fanning her head,

A halo of blood forming under it.

The taste of metallic blood and tears

In her mouth.

The touch against her skin,

Making her shudder

As the smell of garbage

And disgusting sweat

Keeps her awake.

Beauty doesn't kill,

It does so much worse.
