Failure
By Nazath Jabeen
it was a day for me to know how a hard truth tastes like carrying its baggage of lessons,
every mile that I drove was revisited to fix the direction right,
while dropping those excuses in the ocean of regrets,
with passing time it only feels more subtle,
it was harder to serve a smile with a wounded mind,
and lighter to embrace solitude as a zone of peace,
nights seemed to me like a longest journey that was’nt planned,
looked for a space with strangers only to feel more acceptable,
fought with self to close the lid of my day dreams and nightmares,
that was an unacceptable sight of being weak than been before haunted me,
gathered all the light I could, yet longing for dark undesirable castle to escape,
but all the wisdom, strength and better version is what stayed ultimately.
