Eyes Don't Lie

Looking at myself, in your eyes has never creeped me.

Eyes don’t lie,

Even when they cry.

Now that I know this,

You aren’t the one I talk to.

It’s the eyes that answer me,

It’s the eyes that I look into.

It’s the eyes that treat me,

It’s the eyes I’m glued to.

It’s the eyes that feel me.

Yet the eye, it locks,

Only at the surface,

The surface has only coloured rocks.

It’s the eyes that bring in grace,

Only the eyes of the false are the one that hoax.

It’s the eyes that embrace.

The eyes have their own vox.

The blind that have been through darkness,

And have had vision in harness,

Know the soul that’s rooted deep within the surface.

They know what could be behind your face.

Can be a purpose to chase;

Can be your mind in a maze.
