Eye Of The Hurricane
By Joseph Prem
The walls built so close around me
kept blocking my view.
So, I froze the moment while it was raining.
With every drop carrying a portal to jump into a
rainy moment from the past,
I kept searching for "the one."
In my attempts to look for the one bubble,
I kept bursting the rest of the water blobs.
But, it was not all in vain
for I caught the one in my palm
and was gently caressing it.
Holding it preciously I found the walls coming down,
for I was at the center of a living hurricane.
Whirling winds pulled me straight up into the clouds
that I was floating in the air staring into the sun
from the eye of the hurricane.
As beautiful as it was,
as mesmerized as I was,
the dab of water didn't matter anymore
just like the collapsing hurricane.
Living in the moment hits on a different level
when you're hanging by a thread.
