I once fell in love,

It was nothing like I expected

There were no crackers bursting in the sky;

N people singing & dancing around me in joy,

Or none of that filmy nonsense occurred.

It felt more like

I was suddenly Alice

And i had fallen down the rabbit hole

That's how this relationship felt,

An endless spiral.

Having nowhere to go,

We both would somehow always end up back to where we started,

confused but together.

I thought this is how healthy relationships are and maybe we keep coming back because we are "in love" and meant to be.

Well, I don't really know if we are meant to be so, as one says, only time will tell.
