Is our something irrelevant?
Too insignificant?
Minute?
Secret?

Hear the arguments, blaming, yelling,
Hear the backstories, the silence, the deflecting blame
Hear the trembling voices, the loud voices
Every Family, has issues
Some big, some small
See the tears, the red nose and eyes
See the distance, the wrinkles, the shaking hands
Every Family, has issues
Some big, some small
Feel the tension, the silence, shaking bodies
Feel the tight chests, restricted breaths
Every Family, has issues
Some big, some small
Witness the authority, the obedience
Witness the manipulation, the degradation
Every Family, has issues

The begging, the slamming doors
The questioning, the anticipating silence
The expectations, the exhaustion
The contadictory claims

The grouping, the bias
The jealousy, the spite

Some hear threats

Some demand obedience
Some starve on silence
