Ethereal Wings of Rainbow

As the sparrow sings, bluebird garbles the notes float

past the gentle breeze a majestic male’s plumage for him to gloat

gracefully unfurls with its iridescence

bottle green, navy blue, burgundy, cherry red, white with a remarkable presence

the colour scheme like a twirling rainbow, as if it was the fan

or it had many such, the splendour

accompanying a peck before the rains, the chill and the droplets before downpour.

The enchanting dance, and the cooing sound

rushes with the grazing wind and his heart continues to pound.

A lunatic’s heart with the captivating motion like the strings of a dancing puppet

to the invisible moves of the sparrow song rehearsing for his desired muppet.

The dance of joy, the dance of trepidation

one to entrance, enchant and fulfil desire’s expectation.

A striking wind like a cupid’s arrow in a beating heart with falling power

the garland from the blooming tree, the ethereal[a] scene until there is a smiling sunflower

dews from the trees dripping as if it was the thinning ice

flowing as the water will for the sight to rejoice as the sun sets, like removing a guise

the water continues to falls and the breeze moves setting the stage for the peacock’s dance

till he tires, and the sparrow’s song continues to create a trance,

kaleidoscope of feathers, an ethereal outcome as the rainbow fades like a magician’s spell,

the pollens from broken petals carried by the breeze bearing the fruits for generations to tell.
