I am being a grown up

But too soon...

Before i wanted to,

Before i could understand

What it meant for me.

I am thinking "adult"

Puberty was a second ago

Till we all believed

That we could still make it

Since I am "worth it."

Let me compel

What the reality stands

For like a wall ,

Why happiness and peace

Are worth fighting for

Despite the bloodshed

And vain humanity.

I am saying

I can see ....the malice,

The outgrown drama of life

Who is who's what

How is whose whereabouts?

And I feel the politics

Of this wondrous struggled legend

In that human: fighting, defeating, losing, accepting and dying.

Unfortunate.

Unjust.

Unkind.

The stress that we live,

Each passing year , a burden,

Every action , a consequent destiny,

What karma's justice has taught us?

The right and wrong of virtue and vice?

No,

It's whose victim we are

And whose trauma we will be.

Whose hero we become

If life ever turns out to be mean.
