Ephemeral Forever

Our love was ephemeral but it was a cynosure,

All of them blew out the blaze until it was over.

But, no one's to blame because we were incendiary,

Our scintilla of love vanished on 18th January.

You leaving, I thought would be a sense of serendipity, a feeling of needed tranquility,

I was imprudent to imagine that, because it stole my felicity, something I'll have to live with for eternity.

Our tryst was a blast of joy and effervescence,

The only day I experienced true effulgence.

Our days were ethereal and nights were idyllic,

Now, they're deserted and bitterly unrealistic.

I hope this labyrinth of love is ephemeral too,

I pray we escape this endlessly eternal queue.

I dream that my intentions will bring me to you,

But, I live in fear if this belief is ephemeral too.
