Envy And Her Friend

We're such good friends, such good buddies.

And you know I'd never do that to you.

You just can't be happy with what you've got.

I am so lucky to have her, don't know how I could ever repay.

She is always doing things for me,

making sure that my life is easy and free from strife.

But then again,

it's not like she's doing this out of the kindness of her heart…

She has an ulterior motive!

Every favour comes with a price tag attached

if I'm not careful, before I even realize it,

I might find myself stricken with debt!

Oh no! It was fun while it lasted but now I am terrified.

It was a stupid thought, what could I have been thinking?

I don't want to find out the hard way …

I will do whatever it takes to ensure that my friendship is intact.

I will pay back every cent, I won't take advantage of her good heart.

I'll make sure I return everything she ever bought for me.

Even the smallest trinket will be given back,

I'll make sure of it.

I will make this right, the trickery must end!
