Embrace You

You talk to me of love like it's an unending novel

brimming with hope yet overflowing with your fears

you tell me of your sister and how she deserves better,

your words hinting your dejection, yet laced with the love you have for her

baby, your mind is a labyrinth of layers I could only wish to get a glimpse of-

I'd dance in its warmth and embrace its dark,

muddle my way through to you and wipe away the tears,

I'd light a candle for when it gets too cold,

embody you with a quilt of my words

bring you coffee with a kiss on your forehead,

hold my hand, know that we'll make it through

the road seems long, and weary and lonely,

yet I see us living in a cottage beside a broken shack,

when the world has gone bleak and darkened, even under the quiet moonlight.
