Ek is ook belangrik

Ek moet bieg en sê ek is op my senuwees

My liggaam het daardie ou bekende hol krampe op my maag wat bly sirkel

Geen pergasie pil kom by die doetreffeheid van senuwees nie

Vandag word my huwelik van 23 jaar gereduseer tot handtekening in die hof

Dis verby

Vol stop

Diep binne my het ek so gehoop daar sal dalk 'n laaste baklei vir ons wees

'n Hunkering na weer probeer

Maar niks....net stilte

Dieselfde stilte as wat daar tussen ons was die laaste 6 maande

Dan die besef, jy gaan nie vir my baklei nie, net soos jy nie vir my baklei het destyds nie

Jy was en is nou maar net eenvoudig nie meer "that into me" nie

So, hier staan ek voor 'n vreemde regter, en teken 'n huwelik 23 jaar af...

En vir die eerste keer in al die jare, baklei ek vir myself, want ek is ook belangrik.
