Dusk Till Dawn

Updated: Jun 12, 2023

By Rajul Chordia

As the night falls and stars are seen Against the dark, a magnificent scene, As I ponder on my lifeless dream.

A toddler I was with nothing to fret, Just school to attend and eat a bread. When toys and games were my only mate, Little did I know what was in my fate.

As earth revolved time and again, One man’s loss was another's gain.

As mysterious as the world did seem, A challenge to me or my self esteem, When courage was all one needs,

But doubt and disbelief sowed the seed.

As I sit, pondering on my life's dream, The child in me makes a scream, To raise up and take a stand, Cause there's nothing to which I should say "can't"!

To rise and shine as the beaming sun, A race to win without a run, Calm and patience is all I seek, And make my way in the light through the creak.

Full of hope, breaking the wall,

With birds chirping, a morning call,

The tales of yesteryears are bygone,

To the future, an inception from dusk till dawn.
