Dream

I walk on blue grass under a green sky

Through a forest of gold shot high

Down streets paved with soft cloud

Listening to the music jolly and loud.

I float down a chocolate river

Beneath stars of pure silver

What world is this I ask

As music lifts the mask,

I open eyes shocked with fear

As the music fills my ear

In a soft bed I lie

mourning the world that passed me by.

A bed of chains and a head of stone

I try to rise, but all I do is groan

I think of the day that lies ahead,

A monstrous beast not yet fed

By the stress and sweat of my soul,

bit by bit, it will take its toll.

Dreaded time will not wait

For me to rise to my fate,

But these few minutes I can savour,

Until the time when I am braver

To face the world that I did choose

And wait for the world that I did lose.
