Don't Become The Person...

Half of our lives we always end up doing what we don’t want to do. Most of our lives we always end up looking back, wishing about what we could have done. All our lives, we end up doubting ourselves. Well, all this stops now!

Don’t become the person

That you aren’t,

Nothing is strong enough

To rattle you off your way.

Don’t become the person

That others want you to be,

Nothing is more important

Than to have your own say.

Don’t become the person

That you were in the past,

Life always moves forward

You need to ride the wave.

Don’t become the person

That you are compared to,

Cause foolish are they

Who think you need to be saved.

Don’t become the person

That you don’t know,

Cause a walk in the dark

Always ends in the wrong way.

Don’t become the person

That is born out of fear,

Nothing good has ever happened

When fright turns you fray.

This life is your life

It begins and ends with you.

So don’t become the person

That you aren’t,

You’ll realize it was never worthwhile

When the chapter shuts on your final day.
