Distant Land

There is a land,

Far far away by the coast,

Where tides wave with welcome.

In this land of mind,

No heartache nor ailment

Can reach its dwellers.

In swirling rooks,

Pools whirl with clear crystalline cerulean,

Untarnished by brandished brown or mangled maroon.

When clouds embrace and thunder sings,

All their mirth is bared,

Free in the melody of the shower.

Promised plane,

Far far away from

The troubles which plague the spirit.

But, when clouds crash and thunder roars,

All our repose is bared,

Unveiled in the howl of the storm.
