A Glitch in The Grand Decree?

Difficult was it for me

To keep my secrets locked away, Inside the cage of my own ribs, Where the patient monster lay.

The forced smile was a heavy weight, A mask of bright and false deceit, While deep inside, I crumbled down, And the quiet ruin stood complete.

A portrait of a smiling girl,

With eyes that mimic hollow light, While the eerie face of cold reality Steals away her remaining sight.

I put the painted canvas on,

For an uncaring father to see,

But fractured shards of a broken heart Are all that now remain of me.

The tight-knit threads of human bonds, Once woven with a tender care, Now hang undone, decayed and frayed, Lost to the damp and freezing air.

My mother was my brightest star, My brother-home and joyful spark, Yet left by a father from afar,

I face alone the growing dark.

A hidden disease that breeds within, Or a howling monster in the dark? Why was a father unbothered by The swift erasure of my spark?

I questioned the design of truth; It never was a simple ailment- It was a warfare of the soul,

A fragile spirit's final containment.

The brightest light was but a lie, The blackest dark, the only truth; A deep deceit of ancient ages That stole the blossoms of my youth.

I stood straight through the vanity, I bore the weight of every chain, A father's orphan, a monster's gain, Instead of love, I walk in pain- Only to find myself a target for the rain.
