Dichotomy

There’s no black or white anymore, only greys,

No right or wrong, good or bad, no cliché.

You can do exceptionally good and make one bad decision,

You can make terribly bad ones and just one good one.

Torn between having a life or dedicating life,

Fill my cup first or help others fill theirs, no strife.

Should I apply the oxygen mask rule or not?

Should I graph out an algebraic equation plot?

How do I decide between,

Hiding everything and being seen?

Do I stay safe here or plunge into uncertainty?

Worry about time or trust in eternity?

Should I hold on so strong or should’ve said “so long”?

Should I have stayed right here or find where I belong?

I want to scream out loud but stay so silent,

Be so wild but also be reliant.

Kill time but also intend to live it,

Closing my eyes but also needing to see it.

Question everything but still believing.

Dichotomy, you never know what is coming!
