Dew Of Wisdom
By Manjushree Shastry
Bereft from solitude , living in chaos
was calling of the mountains,
away from the noise, freedom alas!
Joy filled eyes, through the tumultuous paths
was a sight to behold, what hue of colors!
spellbound by green with patches of fresh white
was smiling seeing the blue, which would anytime now unleash it’s wrath.
Yet again the earth would endure it all, happy and gay with the ironic rainfall
Heavy or light, the outpour always left impact,
which we as a specie seldom might
even long after, the radiant drops of dew
dancing in fragility like wearing a slippery shoe,
on leaves stretching out to the dawn’s first rays,
was what caught my eye for having the serene glow.
Fleeting beauty it was, as they slid down drooping walls,
for having joy intact even as they depart,
rare in the world of bittersweet which always part,
world’s always been a stage , given with roles changing forever,
where falling apart was seen as apparent even by the clever,
heavier was the heart, sinking self in the sea of self pity
why this ache for pains which eventually faze?
cause all are destined to return repeatedly to this makeshift maze
enjoy while it lasts, leaving a mark
for drops of dew are bound to form again, having one reminisce all of it until the fall,
feeling pleasant long after they are gone,
so can we all be, for no one is really here to go.
