Deserve To Be Loved Better

By Bhuvaneswari B

That first stare, the quirky look

Should have been saved

Too close too soon; the talk of the crowd

Some wanted your place and you gave up so soon.

When I told ever since thirteen it has been only you

Little did I know that I have lost my ability to love

For to me love can only be related to you and with you

All that innocence; left with no questions to ask

No second thoughts or opinions.

Every time I held something that belonged to you

Were my chances to touch you

Every time I disagreed with you

Was my chance to prolong our conversation

All the denial and rejection accepted; only to let you know

You deserve to be loved better!
