Deserted

Amidst this desert of loneliness,

longing for the showers of love,

With a heart so scorched and dry,

I await staring at the clouds above.

Words choke like motes of sawdust

as the blazing heat parches my throat

The dunes of my thoughts broiling in

Despair, in torrents of tears as I float.
