Desert Sand

By Seema Elizabeth Mathew

So fine and so swift

One blow and I move

To a place of more beauty,

No boundaries are there for me!

Increasing the beauty of this land

I feel proud.

I form dunes that

Look like small hills with valleys.

So very dry

With little water found on me.

And when found its beautiful

An Oasis, a pool that is free to appear

Here and there.

Long legs trod on me

And very few green grows on me.

I am vast, found in abundant

The Desert Sand – that’s me!
