Demons Dressed As Angels

She was scared.

Yes, that touch was barred.

Demons dressed as angels came,

To ruin her innocence and call her names.

Called her to caress

Did nothing but harras.

She was hurt.

Baffled!

Didn’t know if this was dirt.

Her father asked him to take her home.

Who knew he would slowly roam?

Touching her here and there.

Why didn’t she shout?

They might ask.

For a girl of six years,

This was an ardous task.

She didn’t know what was happening to her

All she did realise was her fear.

It continued for years.

Slowly, it became worse.

That kid became a little mess.

She lost her balance,

When he said to undress.

She ran for her life

To her mom

And told her everything.

Her mom took a stand

And brought things to an end.

She did help her child.

But little did mom know, she had

become mild.

Growing up, she forgot it all.

But one incident was enough…

To make everything clear from the beginning.

She shrugged and shrugged.

Blamed herself, “I am the drug.”

Little did she know

That she was not wrong.

Demons dressed as angels came

To destroy her peace and call her names.

She built up the courage to stand tall

And made sure to never let anyone fall.

But, what’s the use?

He’s still there and there’s none to refuse

He comes home

As if nothing’s the case

Only she knows his evil face.

Demons dressed as angels came.

They tarnished her peace but had no shame.

Only if there was a flame,

To put an end to their evil name.
