Delicate Rose

When she cries with invisible tears

And her heart bleeds with piercing pain,

You know you have hurt this delicate rose

Who will never be the same again.

Seasons change and she will grow

Firm in her roots, she'll never bend down low,

She can smile through excruciating pain

Even through the heaviest storms and torrential rain.

Nobody sees the rock she stands on nobody sees her firm foundation,

The One who holds her in the palm of His hands

Safe, protected and without condemnation.

So no matter the storms that rage

Or the feeling of being trapped in a cage,

This rose will never wilt and will never die

For the Lord sees her pain and He sees her cry.

He said "leave you nor forsake you I will never",

She can stand strong for her Lord is with her forever.
