Deceiving Looks

A girl too lonely sat on a swing,

In one hand she held a blade the other had her heart's string.

She closed her eyes and flash of memory rushed to her,

the vision was blurry and a teddy as her character.

Like the plushy teddy she was soft all over,

But her world was sharp with nothing to cover.

The teddy was naive,

so she befriended a sharp blade.

Blade being sharp,

he cut her leg apart.

Cotton fell out of her as she ran around,

a shiny scissor offered help and held her to ground.

Teddy being naive she trusted her again,

but the scissors were sharp there was only for her to gain.

Bullying was her character dirty were her thought,

she took the hand away and now more cotton fell out.

The teddy laid limp with tears on the ground,

a rusted pin with thread watched all this from crowd.

Pin approached the limp teddy only for her help,

but now she hated sharp things and started to yelp.

Rusted pin dealt a lot so she let her scream,

with patience she went inside to tie her with string.

Slowly with pain teddy saw her limps sewn at start,

and so she took a lesson with a thread sewn out of her heart.

Back to present the girl holding her string,

she smiled at the reminder her friend left her in.

She looked at the blade again with a smile climbing up her heart,

there was a cat trapped and so she tore her cage's strap.

Just like the teddy in the story the kitten seemed afraid first,

But in the end the lesson was to know that looks are not enough to trust.
