Dear Agony

Dear Agony,

I loathe you.

I try to avoid you.

But without you,

I would never be who I am.

You remind me of my failings,

And push me onwards

And

Beyond

You make me weep

You make me doubt

Yet you are the one who stays closest to me,

The only one who understands me best.

So, I entreat you:

Visit me once more.

I will greet you like an old friend,

And welcome you

with open arms.
