I heard you scream,

I saw you struggle,

I lended my ear,

I flung open my arms,

But then maybe, you were too lost,

In your own pain, and perplexed peril,

You could see yet not feel,

You could hear yet could not understand,

I felt your cry,

I put forth my heart,

All of it, the blood and bloom,



Yet it seemed; You were wired to be too wise,

or too foolish to follow,

And in all that passed on and passed by,

It seems, I died sometime back, somewhere else,

What is a dead horse to a hung traveller,

What is a dead beat to nice song,

I am sorry I died,

I am sorry I failed,

I tried is an excuse,

I failed is as wise and as true...
