Dark Yearnings

The world looked black and white,

Through the lens of my tinted glasses,

Greased with vile temptation,

And a greed for vengeful bliss.

A smile crossed my lips,

As the blood dripped off my fingers,

The last heave of her chest,

As her soul left her.

The life taken set a bed of satisfaction,

Then a hiatus to savour that stolen prize,

And once more, hiding in the shadows to seek peace of mind,

To quench a thirst, to restore my smile.
