Dad's Lifeless Doll

I am just a child,

And dad grows so wild.

He unloops his belt,

And I can’t explain how it felt.

A wack

And a smack!

My head is hit against the wall

And I feel so small.

Fragile and helpless,

Tiresome and hopeless.

Yet, he just threw me around

And left me bleeding on the ground.

Why doesn’t mummy care?

Is it because she doesn’t want her share?

If only people could hear me cry,

It would have all been a story that would fly.

I can pretend I got over,

And that I don’t care.

But surviving all this is just the beginning,

Of an endless nightmare.

I have been forced to take a tragic fall

And now I’m dad’s lifeless doll.
