Crying, Dying, Seeking
By Alethia Rose Braganza
You replaced it with the usual?
The eat sleep and breath.
I speak.
Breathe a little.
And breath a lot.
Eat a little
And then eat some more.
Sleep enough and get out the door.
I know your silent screams of unworthiness
But look at the power you hold
Sit and ponder on those days,
The ones where you broke barriers and carried your weight out of holes
And no matter how many rhymes are told.
Deep down we want to feel like we can have it all without
That failure feeling
So, I speak
You cry, dry, and seek.
Repeat
And then make it happen, take your life further.
Uncertainly Grow.
