Courage

We all were in awe of her courage

The way ir was stretched.

And how we could look so far

To still never see it end.

So we thought she was boundless

Different from those who could break.

But it’s only years since That I realise it was a mistake.

Because things when pushed too far

Tend to one day change.

When she was put to battle too often

One August she wasn’t seen again.

Not everything that has strength

Deserves to take a blow.

And the hugest of oceans?

They’re still bound by shores.
