Courage

Years of hidden secrecy

Bound from plummeting

Walls built in the name of privacy

Fear at its gates, always guarding

The pain yet seeping in through cracks

Gathering as a hoard

Threatening to spill the secrets

That no one ever heard

It bore all the attacks

A defense determined to not give out

Never had it ever fought back

For that required an open thought

The days went on and on

Until the pain accumulated in its peak

A single blow had done it all

The words left unsaid finally began to speak

The shackles finally broken

A prisoner of years of baggage

A freefall in the ocean

Finally freed by the courage
