Cos You're My Moon

By Naina Mishra

It was so dark,

I was afraid every night

Cos I could hear the dogs bark,

There wasn't a single ray of light

So I couldn't win the fight.

With all the fears

Unable to bloom

So I was always with tears

With yearning to be like the cherry blossoms.

I didn't need much

Just  wanted to feel warmth of a touch,

So I kept searching

For someone Loving.

You were that someone

The encounter with you was a boon,

You're the one

Cos of whom I shall heal soon.

You're beautiful like the moon.

You bought the comfort to me,

Just like the moon

You're irreplaceable for me,

Cos you're my moon.

Our memories together

I shall forever cherish,

Oh!dear teacher

The love will never perish

Cos you give the warmth of a mother.

I got my boon

So I shall heal soon,

You're my moon

Which came before my doom.
