Conundrum

WHAT WOULD YOU DO, In the face of dismay, Light of erroneous array? WOULD YOU WANT TO KNOW, The overburdening candour, Of your inner core? WHAT WOULD YOU DO, When served with spite, Draped in shimmer right? WOULD YOU WANT TO KNOW, The malice inside, By which you shall abide? DILEMMA, YOU SHALL FACE. The truth is unwinding, But the lie so blinding. TORN BETWEEN THE CHOICES. Put an end to this schism, Fall prey to masochism. PAIN, YOU SHALL GET. You've waited for so long, To pull the right from wrong. HAVING CHOSEN THE WAY, After all the contemplation, Life will need an explanation. ASK YOURSELF! Why should I give? For NO ONE knows, how to live.

Epilogue (just to make it comprehensible, not a part of the write up):

Often, we find ourselves at the crossroads, looking upon the road, trying to calculate everything, from the pros and cons to the underlying moral sacrifice we will have to do as humans in order to endure the task, just to find out whether ‘was it worth it?’ The path, right or wrong (oblivious of our judgement) is the only real thing you shall feel and that’s the rationale we provide ourselves with. But unexpectedly, remorse follows, almost inevitably. The burden of this guilt drags us down, when thought upon, leaving us questioning our belief system. The part that amuses me in the end is, even after doing the “right” thing, there still isn’t the closure that you dread for.

Similarly, it’s a choice we make, when we choose to unravel the truth from the white noise, the intentions that we start dissecting, diving into the blackhole – human behaviour. Is it worth doing it? Looking at people by the things they do? Or are they made up of things they didn’t do? Personally, it has brought pain more often than happiness to me. This write up is the internal divide I face at such times.
