Continue To Live

By Surbhi Madan

We all have that day in our lives

Where we wish to die.

We wish to die because of

-fear of not holding upto self or other’s expectations

-the responsibilities which we have to deal with

-someone who has left us

-physical and mental illness

-many other reasons which are not noted.

We start romanticising our death,

starting with thinking of our family- like our siblings can compensate our absence for parents. We imagine how can we meet accident in which we can die and within no time we start vomiting- tears from our eyes and words like sorry and love you from mouth in open air.

Nothing of this is abnormal, we all go through this not once or twice but many times

not because we are depressed but because we are sad which means we are living. But every time you think of it, it becomes less appealing, less fascinating.

You know you have overcome last hardship, you can do this too just little bit of togetherness & patience is required.

Even if you don’t live happily, you will try to live satisfactorily. Your life cannot be defined by those who have not lived it, so live.

Because you hadn’t been thinking to die in first place, everything was that you were afraid to face your fears and wanted to stop your pain immediately then to go through it.

Life will continue to given you hardships and you should continue to live.
