Coming Home

What if I reminisced a thousand times?

Let the Trees bring me back

I could dream of worlds where death is a Tuesday

And birth a Sunday

And Fruits drop all year

How many Mountains have seen the depths of hell?

The bottom of the Ocean?

The Seafloor?

Staring at the peak

I wonder if it misses its cousins beneath the Sea

I miss them too

I ran all the way home and didn't move one bit

I stayed still and still arrived

A homecoming for someone that never moved out

A celebration nonetheless

For the days home felt like something to work for

Instead of a birthright

The bottom of the Ocean

Do you lay wide awake too?

Hoping to be perceived

Hoping the Sun opens its eyes and pulls you from the darkness

You can touch the Clouds baby

Stay still and still arrive

Like a Seamount
