Come Into My Folds

Located in a picturesque place

A silent cosy avenue space

Formed by canopy of Ashokas, Banyans,

Pines and Royal palms

Pervading Mushy breeze calm

Dancing to the music of trance

I am waiting alone in the barren lawns.

I have a face

I have tables and chairs

Beautiful pillars and walls around

Lot’s of colourful fauna abound

Without you running and playing

I am like, but a barren ground

I am waiting all alone li’l larks

Mangoes, peaches, guavas and the likes

Are hanging from their branches

Praying for the gregarious bunches

To barrage with Stones and sticks

I am waiting for the li’l monsters pranks

There are tutors, coaches, masters and mistresses

In various hues and grace

Waiting in vain they are with whites and canes

To unleash their labyrinths of pedagogy

I am still waiting for your chirp and sparks

Suddenly the bell chimes to life

When the gates are thrown open

You come in running inside

Capering into my every sleepy rooms

Jostled and nudged

The thunderous laughter and giggles

That’s when I come alive

Like the bright light after the dark night
