Red… the colour of boldness, Oh, how bold indeed… Determination present in its stained bleed.

Yet gentle and romantic, The colour of love…

The soft rose with colours in petals it wove.

Orange… fresh, sweet in scent and sight,

Options aren’t limited, Dark or light.

The sky blooms well in the sun’s rest,

Like jewels shining on a crown’s crest.

, it shines with smiles, while bright in its wake, The warmth it radiates, more than you can take.

The light, the start of an iridescent day,

A spotlight with its soft ray.

Green, nature’s beauty, Grass soft as fuzz, colour of mistletoe Where blooms thrive and grow

Leaves grow from trees, hanging down,

Vegetables you’ll find in every town.

Blue, the colour of the deep, intelligence apparent Marine life with the time spent.

Freshwater, pristine as sapphires, Yet sweet as candy Everyone shares this, nothing fancy.

Purple, the colour of mystery,

Mystic, regal, ambitious and nightly.

A colour so beautiful, that it sprung to high ends That royalty begged for what it lends.

Lastly Pink, All girls’ first favourites,

Putting all kindness into high spirits.

For it’s the colour of laughter, cheer and joy

For a happiness in one little toy.
