College Stars & Life Wars

Stepping in twenties i crossed nineteen,

Teens to tees wonders yet to be seen,

College life, graduation stream,

youthful energy intriguing,

jigsaw puzzle life till now had been.

Stepping in the classroom lots to dream,

I found a fellow human a simplistic being,

Sitting in the first row, hair trimmed,

white shirt black denim,

my best friend Mahesh

I found in class so focused and keen.

Classes begun with new topics unseen,

BCom the course world economics,

international trades tough and mean,

In the meanwhile we spotted another teen,

Interesting we found another simple being,

Shabby habits smelling dirty messy hair totally it seemed,

Welcome to the group said Mahesh, "Mr.Erween".

Cycling fast from Mundwa in Pune so far,

our friend used to reach Ness wadia college for the future bread winning war.

Ambition protected, dreams farce, CA was the target, in process our friend looked like coal tar.

In the meanwhile when we three joined at par,

we spotted another fellow frivolous and trapped in the responsibility jar.

Already tagged in friendship with Mr.Erwin, Prasad joined and completed our quorum at the nearest cactus bar.

Four square formed, cigarettes lighted up in college park, we set the ball rolling college chillers looked apart. Sessions of the four processed life hacks like stars, as if the special software in computer those days "The complex file opener Winzip Rar.

Erwin stuck on a classmate's Maruti car, Mahesh wishing to be Nita's star,

roll numbers i am missing in attendance when we used to put for the lovers proxy marks.

Love for us was distant dream in dark, prasad stayed aloof from this deadly devilish love shark.

I had fun looking at their attempts in love tasks, thank god i remained ignorant of girls in college hours, saving myself for the time being from the feelings that give deep scars.

Notes we exchanged studious we became hanging around in college canteen stalls, erwin studied CA, mahesh joined national cadet corps, I prepared CAT while prasad worked in a big Mall,

Bills we paid balancing the accounts, friendly emotions breaking equal measure split walls, love among us was found like a thick winter shall, together in college while facing the life falls, we pledged among ourselves to finish the miseries, finally resolve & win it all. Story still continues to be told to one & all there are life lessons, more to be achieved, distinctly tall, wherever life takes us we will make sure to have a gala time and we four will definitely have a ball.
